Just because something has been said for years, does it make it ok?

The saying "young, dumb and full of cum" made me a little prickly last night.

Well, moreso the demanding/expectation of respect from said "dumb" lads!

Could easily change dumb to fun.

Thought it was proper fucking rude to be fair, but that could be me being over sensitive. I can't stand being called stupid, dumb etc as I think it's really disrespectful. People may do stupid things, but in general aren't stupid.

I may be silly, but I'm not dumb.

What words or phrases make you prickly, if seemingly innocent?

La la land

No it totally isn't, there's words that my grandparents would commonly used that would be severely looked down upon these days.

For me personally it's being called thick or any suggestion that I'm dumb, just because I flash my boobs. My intelligence cannot be assessed by my pictures.

"Just saying" has got my back up today.

Writing something cuntish and following it up with just saying, does not make it less cuntish

Agreed.

Intelligence insulting is something that really boils my piss.

Bullshit!! What is about to be said is likely to cause offence and you're just trying to detract from it

I’m not sensitive. I’m good at reading arseholes.

If I think I might be about to offend someone and I genuinely don't mean to, I'll say that. There's no shame in admitting you may not understand why someone thinks or feels a certain way about something and wanting to learn more is never a bad thing surely?

"Just saying" really winds me up, passive aggressive comment that can be translated as 'I'm giving my opinion, you won't like it but I don't want to hear your response

"Rant over" can have a similar effect, particularly when it's following something so petty or as poor a rant as possible. I have genuinely seen the following "the photocopier repair man is coming this afternoon. The copier is broken! Again! Rant over!"

See "rant over" doesn't bother me, I just see it as someone getting something off their chest and "rant over" as them taking a deep breath

As did mine.

I think if you explain you don't quite get it but want to learn more instead of believing that yours is the only way of thinking then it doesn't bother me. When it's clearly a dig, fuck it, own the dig.

"Being called guys...one of us isnt one."

I dislike how "guys" has become a collective term for "people" too.

I'm currently trying to replace it with "cats" because its gender neutral , has a kinda 1920s jazz vibe about it and... Cats are cool !!!

Why don't you cats join me.
