Help please.. A mate of ours has had his Face Book hacked,the profile is still there and he is asking,since he has made a new profile is there a link we can send to his hacked face book,so his old friends can just click on it and find his new account as his name is common and can take a while to find lol

I think your friend can create a custom username by logging into Facebook and then going to

http://www.facebook.com/username/

This will then let you choose a username for your Facebook profile. You have to be careful as you can only do this once. You will then be able to send a link to people directly to the Facebook page. For example if you choose the username bigballs then the link will be facebook.com/bigballs etc

ahhh i need a computer boffin!! my daughters laptop wont connect to the internet been trying for months now to get it going mine is windows 7 this is a vista cld that be the problem

I wouldn't have thought that was the issue. Are you trying to connect to a wireless network?

My lodgers laptop is Vista and there is a known problem connecting to the internet wirelessly. I had to buy and extra long ethernet cable so he connects that way.

if its running vista it prob is a few years old, new routers use a different signal, it is bent to be backwards compatable but often isnt

Most laptops have a wireless button somewhere on the keypad, make sure he hasn't inadvertently pressed it and turned it off by mistake. It's normally represented by an icon that looks like a tilted circle with a pin through it.
