Not full name, first name only.
Does it have anything to do with your screen name?
And obviously not everyone wants to mention it, so if that's the case don't.

yeah, that's why I said first name only. And also left it as choice with people if they wanted to share it. It's just a bit interpersonal on here. And I did google and just didn't see what a statistical theory or estimate had to do with names. |

The point is that by putting odd, seemingly innocent, bit of info out into the world someone could add them together and make a full picture.

I understand what you were getting at but after briefly reading the Wikipedia explanation, it hardly describes what you are explaining. The tank theory says it is about predicting or estimating numbers that are sequential after taking a few random numbers from the sequence. Nothing to do with theft of data. |

Regarding us, our names as given in our profile are not our real names. My (Luke's) real name is pretty ordinary but Hannah's is highly distinctive. I'd be surprised if any of you had ever come across anybody else non-fictional called that, so we don't use it. |
