"I'm currently watching a movie about Miles Davis. Luke
The man the myth the legend... a true musical great "
I'm reminded of this quote; I'm not sure if it's apocraphal or not, but it's hilarious, and typical of the man.
In 1987, Davis was invited to a White House dinner by Ronald Reagan. Few of the guests appeared to know who he was.
During dinner, Nancy Reagan turned to him and asked what he’d done with his life to merit an invitation. Straight-faced, Davis replied: “Well, I’ve changed the course of music five or six times. What have you done except fuck the president?” |

"Had the Chemical Brothers thing on 6music on the way home from work- loving the Mr Fingers track......a very ‘4am slow wind down techno funk groove’ after the ‘mad 3am head rush’ sort of track "
Funnily enough I listen to that... it was great hearing the chatting about shit... |

Me, too.
I saw him in Paris on the Glitter and Doom tour.
One thing off the bucket list. |

I can only hope he'll come out of hibernation. If he plays Glastonbury next year, I'll be heartbroken. I failed to get tickets - for the first time since 2008. |
