Busy day for me tomorrow, I need to be up and out early and as much as I'd like to be here praying live online I won't be able to so here's where my thoughts will be:
Easy one really, Remembrance Sunday. As much as I'll be thinking of all those who served and continue to serve, my thoughts will be with the poppy dealers. Day in, day out for the past month, listening to supermarket music and cheeky kids, not to mention the "dewing the war" old boys how claimed to have been at Ypres with Bernard Montgomery when really they were putting out Woolworths in Dulwich High St. Ohh the absolute bullshine they must have to listen to the from the old dears who can use ebay sufficiently enough to acquire lines of fake medals.
Thank you to the poppy sellers for their tireless efforts.
So, mystical people and non-believers alike; who will you be praying for tomorrow? |

"Nothing i made my wishes to the shooting stars
At least i can see them"
But can you feel their love, will the shooting stars comfort you in the hard times and does singing songs to their glory carry you through your day? |

"Prayers are a meditation. I reflect on the goodness of people and the trauma that must have been experienced by those who cannot be kind and gracious.
"
That’s a beautiful line for believers and non-believers alike. I can’t believe the site admin are just going to let you walk away from us like this. |

I have no reason to believe that prayer has any effect so I don't pray for anybody or hope anybody prays for me.
I agree with the sentiment of the "Serenity Prayer". I hope for...
The serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
I would add to that...
And be there for people even when I can't solve their problems.
God and prayer have nothing to do with any of that.

Prayer is wishful thinking. I will not pray for the afflicted, I will act. I will give of my time, talents and money to do something in the real world.
The medtation thought is profound. However, without action, the noblest thought changes nothing outside of the noble thinkers head.
On that reflection, I must do more. |

If I was bored and sad, had an obvious intellectuality crisis and no verifications, I’d probably start a thread trying to wind people up too I guess.
Some people made it and some didn’t, life can have a cruel sense of humour at times. |
