That’s me. Almost 2 years since I had a sick day from work, that was following surgery. Mind you, it’s hard to cheat when the all-seeing eye is watching over you.
What about you employed people in normal jobs. How long my since your last sickie?

No, If I’m able to get out of bed with a ‘little sniffle’ then I’m able to get my arse in to work. Too many people exploit the ‘sickie’ culture in the UK. It’s these people that also complain of ‘foreigners’ taking our jobs. |

Didn't mean you personally, we had that but no one said we had to take them if we weren't sick

I was off for a month in may after eye surgery. And was off for a week in 2017 after eye surgery that went far smoother than this years surgery. Other than that somewhat cruelly the only time I've been I'll in the last couple of years coincided with annual leave that I already had booked |

Same as a mate of mine who worked for the civil service had 2 weeks a year and had to take them. |
