"Sherlock Holmes actor, story, character or film..

I always find myself going back to ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’ and ‘The Valley of Fear’.

I love Sherlock Holmes.

Honestly, I can't choose between Downey and Cabbagepatch, they're both excellent in the role.

"Dr strange then iron man"
both have a way of making a brainy person seem exiting

Hiding in the shadows

Tough choice

I grew up on the old B&W Basil Rathbone films, damn some of them scared me.

Because of him I'd read all the books by the time I was 11.

I absolutely love anything with Robert Downey Jr in.

Thought his film version was great, added a comedy twist.

But then Benedict in the BBC series, something dark & broody about his portrayal.

And Johnny Lee Miller, Elementary. Set in the US, he brings a while new dimension to the character

I can't chose

BRIDPORT

For me there’s only one Sherlock Holmes, it has to be Basil Rathbone. Jerome Brett is a good second though.

.

Benedict Cumberbatch - that utterly perfect quick fired wit and the fascinating depiction of him almost as a bored god playing at being a man. Brilliant.

Travelling

They all played a different Sherlock, and they all did it well. It's hard to compare.

However I do enjoy the more modern take of it all. So I'd have to say Benefit Lumberjacks is my favourite.
