Told you that your profile is written wrong?
I got a message the other day from someone telling me my profile was too negative and I should take out the part where I mention I'm overweight.
I was told I would have more luck if I took that out and he even sent me a revised profile to put up!
I think it's important to be upfront and honest in your profile and I wouldn't want someone thinking I was something I'm not! |

That's not on unless you have specifically asked for advice!
You certainly have the right to say or not say anything you want about yourself.
I've only just written my profile as a quick one for now... But it's written by me and about me ... It may not appeal to everyone... But isn't that the whole point... To help people see if you are someone that might be compatible with them

I did once get threatened to change my profile to suit this person's requirements. That was really weird and was on another site. There are some proper weirdos about who are very confident behind a computer
However, on here, I've actually had people comment positively on my profile. Apparently it doesn't come across as 'desperate' - just a normal, genuine bloke |

Quite often I get messages were it's blatantly obvious the sender hasn't read my profile
My phone actually auto types 'You obviously didn't bother to read my profile'
I've been told in numerous (I assume sarcastic) replies.
It's too long, they couldn't be bothered.
They got bored halfway.
That it's ranty & negative
Always wonder why they'd then bother to contact a boring, negative, ranty person in the first place  |

I’ve just read your profile (this is George) and I think it’s great. You come across as a real person, an actual human being seeking a genuine connection. Changing your words to ‘get more meets’ is perhaps missing the point for you, and I would suggest the person who commented simply didn’t read you with enough care.
Most people have some form of insecurity. It is not for others to judge whether you should or shouldn’t be upfront about them. It is also not for anyone else to judge whether you ought to have them in the first place.
It is true that a lot of men struggle to find a way to engage. That opening sentence is can be tricky. But this guy has no excuses for this. There is plenty of information on your profile for someone to be able to make a considered introduction. I would suggest the guy is either clueless or mean. Either way, you’re better off ignoring him.
I hope this doesn’t make you doubt what you have written. You are exactly the kind of person both Ailsa and I would connect with. Xx |

On my old account I Had the female half of a couple message me because she was offended that i had a lady in one of my photos? The face was blurred but she said because I'm single I shouldn't have any ladies in my photos? Wtf was that all about? |

Tell them to F off. You can write whatever you want about yourself....albeit it truths.
I dont put on my profile I had breast cancer and my left boob was completely removed and replaced with muscle from my back and it has no nipple. No....but I could if I wanted to. My body...I can say what I want about it xx |
