So I receive an email saying my car insurance policy is due for renewal, and details the price I paid lasdt year and the auto renewal price a subsequent increase of 28%.
Being frugal I used a well known site and the same policy from the same company 25% cheaper than last years price.
For a few minutes I saved £140 over 40% on this years price.
If there is anyone out there auto renewing insurance please spend a few minutes searching and researching.

Insurance companies are masters of ripping us off. They know we need it so they just fleece everyone.
They bank on us not to shop around and just accept their renewal offer, they hope we just can't be arsed to make the effort |

"My renewal is the cheapest deal this year. I pay monthly and it’s gone up by about a pound a month. Cheapest deal elsewhere is about 4 quid a month more"
Have you ever looked at the annual price and compared it to the total of your monthly payments? Most insurance companies charge a high interest rate. |

"Yes. And being a bolshy bird I phoned them up and told them I want the price on the comparison sight, otherwise I am going elsewhere! They agreed the site price! "
Did the same recently and they didn't match the price.
Gave me a better deal than what I was quoted online. Dont understand why they didn't offer this price in the first place.
Its too easy in this day of the t'internet to shop around. |

It suits me to pay monthly and overall it’s only costing me about 20 quid for the privilege |

I recently had 3points and my insurance price went up from £600 a year to £1200!
I then compared prices online and had it for £850. Some insurance companies wanted over £1800!
In my opinion they all try to con people. Whenever I've contacted then to renew they always ask if I have a price to beat... But why can't they just tell me their best price? It's so annoying
