Many romances begin in the office or place of work. I don't think it's wrong, but it can be awkward.
Especially if it doesn't work out.
I think it's a little bit too much to sack someone because of it IMO.

Had an affair with a colleague many years ago. Didn't end well, but that had nothing to do with the work aspect. |

It's a no-no for me.
A few years ago I met someone in a hotel when I was working away on a project. Seemed ideal as I was there 6-8 weeks and he was there a month or so, happy days.
Next morning he walked into my office with his dad, it was his dad's scaffolding company I'd hired and he was their main quantity surveyor. Neither of us had realised that's what the other was in town for.
It could've been mega-awkward but thankfully wasn't, we just brazened it out and had a great month! Never again though... |

I had a fling with my HR manager when I worked for a Rotherham based recruitment agency.
It was great fun and we parted on good terms when I left the company for pastures greener. |
