Steve McQueen, he was as cool off the screen as he acted on it. He could ride a motorcycle so well, that stuntmen struggled to keep up with him (see Great Escape).
I generally don't like actors, they're playing at being real people, acting heroic or as hard men when in reality they're just divas (see Bruce Willis).
Audie Murphy, actor and one of the most decorated soldiers in WW2.
David Niven, Actor but Officer in WW2 very rarely talked about his service.
There's a few more I could name, (not John fucking Wayne) who served with distinction in the same War. But these are the exceptions to the rule |

Robert de Niro
Sandra bullock
Kate winslet
Judi dench
Will Smith
Ben stiller

Of all time is a toughie, there are lots for different reasons. At the moment there are a few. I have just watched Eddie Murphy in Dolomite is my name, it is was a really good performance, I generally like the roles Andrew Garfield chooses to play but I used to say that about John Cusak. Emily Blunt is a great actress as is Kiera Knightly and I have a soft spot for Jennifer Connolly. |
