If you could bring back a pop star from the dead for one last gig, who would you choose?
Either lead singers or band members.
List your top three.
Mine would be Elvis Presley, such an amazing voice.
Freddy Mercury, such a performer and an irreplaceable lead singer for Queen.
Bill Haley, I just love early Rock 'n' Roll. |

"Ian Curtis, so he could see just how much love there was in the world for him. And I'd be in the front row for that Joy Division gig.
Oh, and Nick Drake, too. "
Oh, and as I'm allowed 3 choices, I'll have David Bowie please |

Etta James
Frank Sinatra
Nina Simone
Amy Winehouse
Ella Fitzgerald (with Louis of course)
Just to name a few but that's one hell of a lock-in, I'd love to be at. |

"
Same for Bowie and Prince really....let's be thankful, we still have the pleasure of their vocal talents, of all mentioned above. |

"Bob Marley. The world needs more people like him in it."
Not the fight...but a lovely voice, regardless...If you're not already familiar, check out a chap named Maverick Sabre. |

I love him for his 'fight songs' as much as I do for his 'love songs'.
War, Redemption Song, Get up stand up, Africa unite, I shot the sheriff.. They all have powerful meanings behind them and ones I fully support.
Yes, I know Maverick Sabre, great but not a patch on Sir Bob. Neither are any of his sons, sadly. |

They're alright, but wouldn't have got far in music industry, if not for their 'Roots'. Both Damian and Stephen even sound like him in some of their songs where they copy or emulate their dads tracks.. Pimpers Paradise for example. |

"Gil Scott-Heron
I sometimes imagine what it’d be like to have him in his prime commenting on the political scene today.
I'd love to hear what he would have to say about Trump! "
Exactly. He was a wonderful, angry, righteous lyricist (and a massively underrated singer and keyboardist).
I saw him live a year or so before he died. He was amazing and I wept like a baby (as did the football hooligan soulboy who was sat next to me)! |

Some of the members of the 27 club. Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Cobain and Winehouse I feel they had only given a little of their greatness.
Nick Drake too (26). All too young.

Some absolutely brilliant suggestions so far, and I'd echo plenty of them, but in the spirit of adding so new names into the pot....
James Brown
Marvin Gaye
Adam Yauch (so Beastie Boys could reform)
Oh, and Paul McCartney |

"Bass - Lemmy
Vocals - Ronnie James Dio
Guitars - “Dimebag” Darrel Abbot
Drums - Vinnie Paul"
To follow that nice idea:
Bass - John McVie
Vocals - Scott Walker
Guitar - Gary Moore
Drums - Ginger Baker
Never work as group but what talent. |
