""I’m not convinced it’s bias, more like poor choices and decisions ."

There's an article on Walesonline saying Nigel for the final is a "no brainer". So unless there's health reasons (or some other personal reason) why Nigel can't ref one can presume the only reason why the world's best referee isn't involved in the final is because he is being punished for reffing fairly in the last game.

Garces reffing in this entire world cup has been substandard as well as one eyed. Of course some will still see the emperor's new clothes. But for me if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... "

You really think World Rugby is punishing referees who are deemed to have officiated in a way that resulted in the wrong result for World Rugby???

Not WC related. Just after seeing pics of Graham Rowntree in full Munster training kit from today’s session, that’s good for the soul

You see Rory Best will make one final appearance in November, playing for the Barbarians v Fiji at Twickenham?

Yes, and chuffed for him. Thoroughly deserving of that send off.

Brian Moore has suggested on Twitter that there should have been a plate competition with its final on Friday instead of the ‘bronze final’

Quite a good idea I think

i have always side that is not a bad idea because it gets tier 2 teams games against some tier 1 teams.... and you could use the 3/4 teams from each group....

so friday could have been plate final.... saturday the real thing...

I think both teams have a point to try and make.

It could be an amazing game (especially as my personal stress levels will be lower than for Saturday!)

So England get a 4 figure find for ‘disrespecting’ the HAKA last weekend.

I’m confused. Ireland did similar against the HAKA in Soldier Field, Chicago a couple of years ago by forming a figure 8. Yet were applauded by the ABs for doing so.

Weird?!

Think it could amount to a very good game to watch. As far as rugby entertainment game goes better than the final. Sorry to say but the SA style isn't great viewing.

2010 IRB introduced an official rule which says the opposing team must be a minimum of 10m from the Haka performance.

(Also turns out that the V formation by England wasn’t the first time it has been done ... Ireland did it at Lansdowne Road in 1989)

Tomorrow I'm hoping Wales win. Great team and Warren deserves that. For the first time ever as an Irishman I'm gonna shout for England on Saturday.Simple reason is that they play the better more impressive rugby. I distinctly do not like Eddie Jones. Difference now is that there is no player I hate in that English camp. There's no Ashton type figure. It will be a monumental day in my life.

My prediction is:

England to beat SA by 6 - 10 points. At least one yellow to SA issued in the first 20 minutes. A second later in the match possibly a red.

NZ to beat Wales by at least 20 points. Wales to not get over the whitewash once.

Good game this.

My first sport is football and I never watch the 3rd place play off game. It's like a training game.

It's refreshing to see this actually being the normal game that it is. Full of intensity and meaning.

Well done Warren Gatland. Made everyone in the world take note of our small country again. It's been a fantastic decade or however long it's been.

We won't half miss him
