Could anyone please explain why gents (and ladies for that matter) over 45 Seem to get over looked by so many people? Is it mainly the age demographic of the site? As I feel the older lady and gentlemen still has a lot to offer.

Same, I'm not aging badly at all and keep myself in good shape, but I still catch myself in the mirror some days in bad light and there's no escaping that I'm in my late 30's. I'd love to still look like I did at 25! |

I set my upper age preference as 45 but to be honest it was completely arbitrary when I did it... just needed a limit somewhere and that was the number that popped into my head! But I’ve seen and chatted to on the forums some lovely people older than that who I do fancy ... so maybe it’s time to re think my age preferences |

I'm 47 and still get lots of massages from straight men who have obviously not read my profile.
Don't know if it's because I'm getting older that I attract more one word messages of if maybe the quality of people is dropping. |

We're in our mid 40s and we have too much interest in us to meet everybody who would like to. We have to be quite selective.
We hardly ever approach people ourselves (apart from a bit of flirting on the forums). We haven't needed to. |

I’m loving my naughty forties. As others have stated it’s all down to personal preference. I think it’s a preconceived idea that the older we get the less attractive/fit/healthy we get, but if you look at Christine Brinkley 64, Halle Berry 51, Elle McPherson 62, George Clooney, Jonny Depp, Idris Elba who in their right mind would say no to playing with them?!! |

At 55 I sit outside most preferences on here. Many of my friends have age ranges that wouldn’t include me, but they made an exception. That said it is mostly for the friendship and not because they are interested in me sexually. I find it a better investment to focus on those whose preferences I fit, than wasting energy being concerned about those I don’t. |

Bit different for us. We find guys around that ages tend to be better at messaging. Mrs certainly has no objection to meeting up to 50 if theres an attraction. Think our first was 48.

It's a fact of life that the older you get the fewer choices you have of sexual partners. I turned 63 today (fab birthday) and we've both been out of loads of people's age range for some time. We concentrate on the ones we are compatible with rather than the ones we're not. |

I have a wider age range listed but tend to stick closer to my own age purely based on common interests... there are always exceptions though..
Doesn’t help that so many people on here lie about their age though, which can be amusing when they send face pics and you’re like Yeah right add about 10 years. |

I have seen some 40s profiles on here with pretty hot younger people verifying, so many over look age if you still fit. Key is not to let yourself go and it will pay off |

Oh, yes they've queuing out the door, must be my youthful age. Maybe in ten years time I'll know what your talking about. But then again hopefully not.
In all seriousness I've generally gone for women older than me. It just happens that often the women I find interesting, worldly and thus attractive to me have tended to be older. I don't think mid 40s is a barrier. |
