There and to the left a bit

I'm typing this having just watched tonight's episode of Corrie - I've cried my eyes out and have been totally moved by the storyline.

Anyone that says Corrie is "just" a soap should watch it - the acting was beyond belief superb, the writing compassionate and moving.

My heart goes out to anyone touched by the cruelty of cancer.

Agreed !

A lot of snobbery about soaps .

Was good acting , you really do believe in the characters unlike Eastenders !

Worthing

It's a great soap...more like a drama really. Great acting.

Love Corrie. The prison scenes this week were filmed in Shrewsbury.

Are you going to cry your eyes out for everyone who loses their battle with cancer or just a fictional character playing a part

I hope you never have to watch or live with someone going through it

Totally different

Norfuck! / Lincolnshire

I don’t watch it but I heard about it earlier this week. They did an awful lot of research to ensure it gave a sympathetic/ empathetic storyline ... it clearly did ...

Mate, I know the back story to this whole thing and believe me it is as real as it can possibly get. I have also lived through it with a sibling!! They got it bang on to be fair to them.

I have been transported back to so many of those dark days, of diagnosis, hope, despair and finally the final days!

Trust me when i say that this has been simply superb by the Corrie team

It's a cruel disease and I can understand why you'd think that way and am very sorry for the impact it has had on you and your family.

The way that Corrie handled it was completely sympathetic and gave a very strong message about the impact it has not only on the person concerned but their loved ones too, and I think it's important that message and the one about how it can affect all of us that it also gave, are delivered

Yes.

A few Irish cancer charities have spoken about how very well and how real it’s been portrayed.

Firstly, I’m sorry you’ve had to experience it.

Everyone’s story is unique, they did an amazing job. Kudos to them for highlighting cervical cancer and cancer in pregnancy.

Mercifully I've never had to watch it happen directly no, and my heart goes out to anyone that has - from all I have read though and what I witnessed on screen the storyline was presented very realistically and with all the research you would expect to make it so.

By relating to the plight of a fictional character and being moved to tears by it, I am also relating to the plight of anyone affected by the cruel disease, so yes my tears were as much for them as a character I have watched suffer through it.

by the sea

It was a good account of a death that was swift with and just a couple of pain bouts it wouldn’t have been watchable if it was what a suffering cancer patient is more likely to go through, in my experience death was far more ugly, but overall the show was good, sad and loads of raw feelings many of us will have had at those times, love, guilt, anger, and unbearable pain.

Loved hearing ken talk about death.
