Wink etiquette

I rarely send a wink to someone let alone a message. However, if I do wink what is the point of just winking back? Am I expecting too much to at least receive an acknowledgement message. We could just wink for weeks at each other?vv

I usually wink back when I get a wink. If they are that interested in me...they will message

I don’t look at winks until I see a thread like this. Try messaging OP, they may not see a wink.

Received a wink from a lovely looking lady, sent a complimentary message, not read days later! Delete and move on.

I don't acknowledge winks, just delete them. Whoever wants to let me know they're interested, they can message me.
