Watchin a repeat of the Aprentice on BBC1. Tell you what I wouldnt put some of these folk in charge of boiling a fuckin egg haha. And this is meant to be the cream of the crop and cleverest folk about in business today. Is it just me or are we not in a world and society these days that encourages people to back stab and walk all over the person next to you inorder to get where and what you want out of life!.

expect it has more to do with makinf television programmes that appeal to the reality tv loving masses rather than picking the best 12...13...or however many they pick. idiots and people that won't get along make far better viewing than completely professional business types i suspect  |

Hmmm ordinary folk who work for nothing, on a simple set or outdoors, against paid actors who cost real money on created set's. I think there may be a forced programming schedule based on budget more than popularity.
As for the cream of the crop, I would expect them to be too busy to give it all up for x weeks unpaid making television shows. |

Thats business... if you wanna be the "best" (i use the term *very* loosely) then you have to be willing to kiss ass, back stab and take down your competition as well as lie, cheat and generally be a bad person,,, there aren't too many people that make their way up the ranks by being a nice person (well done to those that have but i've never met any) it sucks,,but what can you and i do about it.. |

its not that they pick cranks, i dont think they would pick more than 10% of people that are just good for tv instead of people sugar would really want to invest in.
but i think the way the program is edited and also geared with working with compition to achieve your own goal and success is setup to cause people failures.
this is why you always see people who are probally well respected and good successfull business owners falling flat on their face because the pressure is on and althought when its their money and they can fire and hire who they want the people working for them have to respect them and do what they are told or they loose their jobs etc, but on the apprentice quite often people dont like to help the other project managers hoping they get sacked to benifit them.
i love how the show brings out the worst in people its class!
you forget these people are a major success in their lives probally because they are quite ruthless and good at it, so when you put a few people who aint afraid to play dirty tricks as you need to once in a while to protect your own investment well it makes classic tv! |
