I think that many of us have experienced this in life; someone where everything seemed right but somehow things just didn't work out. Tinged with 'what ifs' their memory still pops up from time to time...

In reference to fab though, has anyone experienced this? You chat, connect, but somehow things just don't seem to work out. Situations change and you miss your opportunity...

Share your stories folks, without naming names (unless you really want to!).

What's meant to be, will be regardless.

There's little sense in dwelling about what if.

If you have a chance, take it. If it doesn't work out, move on.

Happened to me a couple of times.

One turned out to be a lucky escape.

Sometimes things just arent meant to be and that's fine.

Lots of happy memories after the initial disappointment is over.

I was chatting to someone, having a laugh and getting on well. I had spoken to him at a couple of group socials too. We were discussing meeting up at some point but then he left.

I learnt some stuff after he left that made me pleased I hadn’t taken it further though. I don’t think it would have worked out very well.

No, I haven't experienced it. I think it things "don't quite work out" one person in the partnership (however brief or transient) didn't really want it to.

Yes, once from another site and once from here. I don't think the one from here was ever going to pluck up the courage to meet but man, I really wanted to!

I have a person like that in my life, been like that for over 20 yrs but if you put us in the same room the chemistry is as wild as ever. Unfortunately our personalities just don't match for anything long term.

Awe that's seems such a shame. I had something similar though not lasted that long. I find it's best to just be myself and not think about what if's, but the sexual chemistry is just sooo good, but that's all it would be. We know that!!

Happened to me... Timing was 100% wrong... It was explosive, exhilerating and horny... But definitely bad for me at the time.

Who knows what the future holds..

Yep but it’s serendipity

I’m in the right place, at the right time and everything happens at exactly the right moment.

Yes, there have been a couple that 'got away' and I didn't meet, mainly because of them leaving or coupling.

A couple of guys off here that I class as "the ones that got away".

After chatting for a very long time even meeting he stayed off fab for months as he had family issues but he's back on now, tried to reconnect with him but he's not interested, I guess I read more into it that him. Shame as I thought we got on great had some amazing chats, we would chat for hours and hours about everything and nothing. I kinda miss those chats with him.

Second one cancelled on me twice with "family issues", you don't get a third chance. another shame as he is definitely my type and into everything I am...

Not had any in my non fab life as I don't tend to get let down as much as I do on here

There and to the left a bit

There have been a couple of people that I've had good connections with and haven't quite got to meeting, or met once and then life got in the way - I tend not to view them as "ones that got away" more "ones that weren't meant to be" though

Yes but that doesn't make for such a snappy thread title!
