I could take 30 to 40 before I pick a picture and then edit it and play with the lighting.

Well take two or three and pick the best shot. I (Luke) find it really odd when people have a row of almost identical photos in their gallery. I'm not sure what anybody is supposed to gain from the repetition. |

Sometimes it’s a couple of takes before I get what I like. Saying that my last three uploads have all been first takes

Ten second timer for me. I usually use five but ten seconds lets me get the thing on and get into pose. |

I sometimes indulge in pic taking sessions when i'll take a large number, then crop them and go through the selection process. My unused / non uploaded archive is a tad large  |

I usually take 3 or 4, with slightly different angles or poses, and then pick the one that I like the most.
I only ever use a black and white filter, but often crop the background out to get rid of any identifying objects. |

For here one or two, they’re usually just random snaps out of one of our phone galleries so there’s only one.
On a shoot can go through literally thousands in a day though so suppose that evens it out. |

My current profile picture i got right first time but usually i take several, edit the best and the choose which ones to upload. I think most people do that. |
