I’m not enjoying my ti_eline being posted with porn videos. You can’t beat a classy photo with a bit of mystique

Almost right, a squib is a small explosive charge that sets off a larger explosive charge. Mainly used in explosive devices (bombs). So if the squib got damp it wouldn't explode meaning the bigger charge didnt explode either. |

Agreed. If someone wishes to see me beyond my pictures they can meet me in person. That extra level of excitement of wondering how the person will actually be in the flesh disappears if you've seen the individual on video. |

My suggestion is that it’s a different fab site - similar to fab guys for instance. That gets things moving with the times, generates an income for the owners, grows the business, allows the feature for those that want it and keeps it away from those of us who feel it is turning the site into a porn site. I don’t think it has a place here. |

I scrutinise my pictures to ensure that there's nothing there I'm not willing to risk getting out. I know the risks, I'm not stupid.
Doing that for a video is significantly harder and less people will. And yes it's the user's own risk... mostly. If something too awful came out it'd open the site up to legal liability. And it could just be in the background of an otherwise appropriate video, for just a moment. |

It increases risks of data being stolen, harder to control what's in moving images.
It increases risks of unaware people inadvertently being in the video, and makes it harder to moderate.
It increases material for wanking and doesn't do much to add for meeting that couldn't already be done, including on Fab cam.
It increases demands being put on women by a population of site members who can already be unpleasant, abusive, and demanding (I'd love to know what percentage of new female site users leave within a week, I bet it's high).
It could easily be a gateway to pay per view/ porn.

Cynical me thinks it's to get more guys to pay site supporter fee, without which they can't view vids, simples.

I agree Babs . But then it has to come down to self responsibility if you would be ashamed or embarrassed if someone shared your video or photos then don't post them. No one then to blame but yourself . |

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, just as with many functions on the site; some like them, some don't.
I won't be posting any but I'm not against the feature in any specific sense.
Yes, there may be hazards to those that do but far be it from me to brow beat or shame those that want to.

There are some absolutely pointless videos being uploaded though.
Saw one where it was just a woman staring at the camera while music played in the back ground. It did the exact same job as a photo, but just wasted time and space.
And as a result, the photos are taking ages to be approved now |

Happy to let my site support lapse if that means the videos aren't in my face.
Mods can barely keep up with photo content, let alone vids. Forever reporting photos that breach the rules.
Consent and permission are a massive issue. Fab just take the word of the uploader that all parties consented to the upload.
I rarely trust a profile that posts photos that have random people in the photo.
What reason do i have to believe consent was freely given. None.
It seems, so far, the function will be limited and restricted.
If it gets to the point that videos can be attached to messages, I'll be disappointed. |

If people chose to post videos that is their prerogative. It’s yours whether you watch them or not.
I don’t see it as any different to my ti_eline when people post lots of pics or upload and re-upload the same pics every couple of days to get on Hot Pics. I know which I find more annoying......

If Fab can't handle not letting cartoons and memes through, it's not ready for the additional workload and potential liability of video. |

Yes (you would hope so anyway, but some poor souls when I joined didnt appreciate photos could be downloaded. Or even just screenshotted) but the waters are muddied when there are multiple people in the videos.
Fab might be facilitating revenge porn.
It's a massive can of worms.
If you take a look at fabs accounts. Publically available on companies house. They seem to do pretty well as it is. |

I'm sure I saw recently the site asking for new potential photo mods to put themselves forwards, so hopefully we'll see an improvement on that front. I'd imagine they will also be moderating videos if and when it gets rolled-out after the beta. |

That is my view for the most part (though I do understand the risks and issues that have been brought up). If you don't want to upload a video, don't. If you don't want to view them, don't.
As I say that is the basics of it, but it is a little more complex than just that, illustrated by the issues that have been raised. |

I think an option to remove from your ti_eline would be a good idea, then that way they don't have to be viewed and wouldn't show up unless you went looking for them. I wasn't sure at first but quite like the idea now although it sucks you'll have to pay. |

I’m pretty sure we all know that. That’s not the issue for me. I don’t think they add value. I don’t see the point. I think it makes the site more of a porn site. I think it with attract people just wanting to collect videos. It’s certainly not safe to upload them.

Also make it a rule that harassing people to post videos will result in a ban. |
