Hello Fabbers, I just wanted to get your thoughts on this.
I'm sure I'm not the only one how gets the Red Mist rising when people take up to many parking spaces ???
Drop your comments below, it would be fun to hear if you did anything about it.
I'll start.....someone took up two spaces in my local Asda, so I put a note on their windscreen saying "Great parking Dickhead, the way you've pulled in, I wish your Father had pulled out" |

Only thing that grinds my gears are....
Able bodied people who park in disabled bays
People with no kids parking in the parent and child bays
Fuckers who dont open doors carefully and ding your paintwork |

Cowards way of doing it, if you were that bothered you should have waited for them to return and talk to them face to face. |

Thing is OP, unless you are living such a sad life that you watched them park, waited for them to walk away, then wrote the note and fixed it to their windscreen. How do you know that the car they parked next to wasn't taking half a space and they parked considerately allowing space for the other person to open their door?
So the dickhead could be the one misreading the situation and writing notes |

Parents and children parking gets my back up, their perfectly able to walk. Grrr! Use them for disabled, never enough spaces ( no I’m not disabled and yes I’ve had kids ) hold on, why don’t they supply electric golf carts to help kids to get to the store, we can’t expect them to walk 50 yds. |

It is the width that matters. Getting wriggling toddlers into a car seat and doing up the 72 point seat belt system, without buckling your door on the car parked next to you. Also for some weird reason people take a dim view of standing on one child while releasing another to prevent them running out and blocking parking spaces |

My special move is squeezing my car in the second spot as close as possible then watching the entitled prick try and get in from the passenger side door and then squeeze out of the tight spot...
Then immediately get in the car and pull out and get on my way..
Love it |

The whole point is getting children to the store safely and to protect the kids as well as to be able to get them in and out of car seats. It shouldn’t upset you this much.
Opening the car door and trying to get an infant car seat out when there’s not enough space is really tricky. And kids who open their doors right into other cars isn’t good for anyone.
It’s nice to be nice. Most parents don’t care if the child spaces are farther away if there’s a safe walking path, just more space to get them out is helpful. Definitely not worth getting upset about no one thinks kids are the same as having a disability it is a kindness offered by shops to families. It’s not legally enforceable so just park in them if it seems so unfair. Just watch out for the angry parents. I’ve never found these spaces to be so upsetting. They just don’t impact us. We have a kid, have rarely used them as we just park but if we had an infant or an infant and a runaway toddler I can see the appeal and would appreciate it immensely. |

Yes they're perfectly able to walk its more to do with the extra space those spaces give you so you can transfer you're baby/ toddler without dinging the car next to you |

I'm not. If he gets that angry about parking I wouldn't want to meet someone who gets that annoyed over something so trivial. I'd worry about meeting him. |

Not sure if this is relevant but I have a drop down kerb at first some cars started coming a little bit over then a bit more I had no idea what the door number was as I would have knocked on the door and asked them to move their car.Eventually I snapped and called the council now those 3 neighbors look at me like I was in the wrong If they had shown me some respect and asked it would have been a different story but as I didn’t know their door number I called the council and they got a parking fine I believe it was £60 |

I bet everyone here gets annoyed at trivial things at times and has a good rant. I don’t think it is indicative of anything nefarious in the OP’s character and that’s a bit of an over reaction to a forum post about something most people have had a whinge over |

I can understand why they did it , no one gives a dam about other people’s property thus not wanting said vehicle having another door banging in to their vehicle , wrong & infuriating but see the logic |

Well you made 2 grave mistakes OP
1) You went to a supermarket - Online shopping, always plenty of parking.
2) You not only went to a supermarket (see point 1) but you went to ASDA - if you must visit a supermarket, then at least make it Waitrose (other pretentious middle class supermarkets are available..maybe), the parking will be just as shit, but you'll get a better class of car parked badly. |

I do get some car park rage, mainly when I've got to park in a non parent and child spot because a non parent took it to be closer to the shops and have more room to get out of their flash car.
I did report it to the store manager and got told that they don't enforce the parking restriction and a private company does. |

I thought this too but when you read the signs a lot of them say for parents with children under the age of 12 (most of whom aren’t in pushchairs!) So it is a bit confusing. I wonder if it’s just because it’s safer to have less distance to walk through a busy car park with kids in tow? Who knows ... |

It’s actually easier to reverse in and drive out. Harder to get to the boot but a much easier drive. |

Pretty despicable and infantile retort.
You know nothing of that person. There could be a thousand reasons that they had to get into the store quickly or needed the space around their car.
They may have a mental condition or indeed just be a shit parker.
Nothing you did or said made them a better parker.
Use your time positively for the sake of yourself and others.
P.S. Do you even have a car ? Personally I seldom check the parking of others. I shop.

I have a friend with MS. Some days her legs work, some days they don't. Does this mean she should only use disabled parking spaces when her legs aren't working?
Not all disabilities are visible.
