What a game from the All Blacks, they were a different class. Such a shame for Ireland, but they didn't take the rare chances they had.

I have to admit that NZ gets (in my view) a bit precious about the haka. Teams have ignored it in the past or done something else while it's been performed. That hasn't gone down well in some quarters who have branded it 'disrespectful'.

Personally, as long as they don't try to stop or interfere with it, opposition teams and fans should be allowed to do what they like while it's being performed.

This chatter on the Hakka got me thinking about intimidating or “not following the normal script” before a match that possibly had a direct effect on the minds of the opposition...

1990 David Sole walking out, some say marching like an army, the Scotland team for the Grand Slam decider against the Auld Enemy...

Any other offers ?

Should wales get to meet New Zealand..

We know the all blacks do the haka, which is a challenge,I believe we welsh actually have the perfect response to show we are ready for battle ...and it has historic reference

When the English defeated the French at agincourt it was done with the assistance of welsh long bow men...archers..

So fearfull of the long bow the first thing the French did when they captured welsh archers was to cut off their first two fingers with which they drew the bow...

Hence when the welsh archers went into battle the first thing they did was wave their 2 fingers at the french to show they were ready for battle...

Basically the origins of the 2 fingered salute..

To mind we would be justified with the historic context to give the all blacks a 2 fingered salute to show we accept the challenge and we're ready for battle.....

Thought the rendition of fields of athenry during the day during the haka was bit of the day..

On this longbow theme, few know that it is still British law that all males of 12 yrs and over must be proficient in the use of the longbow. Bit of useless info for us going into battle this morning.

Wales it is and what a battle it'll prove to be. Worthy of a final.

Wales won't panic. They'll play their game and work through it and France's initial flair will crumble and flake. This is what Wales are good at, discipline and adapting as a whole team if need be.

"Jaysus!

Where have this France been hiding?

They do this all the time at world cups. I really should have known better with my "Wales have the easiest match" prediction.

I recall a post from Fabio(I think).. “depends what France team shows up”"

Oh yeah. I'm absolutely not knocking Fabio at all, but it always depends on which French side turns up. I just didn't think the good side would.

Another high scoring match on the cards, could go either way I reckon, France have a slight edge but Wales can still come back.

Yes that's the key. I'm actually still predicting a Welsh win, but obviously not as comfortably as I previously predicted

Not just their world cup pattern. But I don't think it's just dance, Wales will have sorted this game out for second half, it's a pattern they have done against many when trailing.

If we get a try in the first 10, I think we will settle and take it. Just.

"definite intent with that elbow, a long ban me thinks"

I think you could be right! The fella who got sent off for a high tackle earlier in the tournament got 6weeks reduced to 3 because he had previously been a good boy. Bearing in mind, it was an arm around the head/neck and the elbos, if the French lock doesnt get 10+ weeks, i will be astounded

Yes, I struggle to see any extenuating or mitigating circumstances can be argued there. I think 12 weeks is about right.

Yep, that's right. They mustn't panic or try to force things. Keep the ball in hand and work through the phases. Defending that is tiring enough when the numbers are even, let alone being a man down.
