As the title says what's your favourite Greek island or area of Greece?
I'm currently in Crete and loving it (despite the rain!) but haven't explored Greece or other Greek islands in the past so I'm looking at booking somewhere else next year. |

Thanks for the replies so far. Ive Never fancied Corfu, but then I never fancied Crete until I came and seen how unspoilt a lot of the island is so I'll have a nose |

"Ithaca - the views across to Cephalonia are superb, it’s small and not too developed, and has some beautiful towns on it (Kioni - all time favourite) "
Sounds nice, I hear getting there is a bit of an Odyssey though... |

I’ve been to Zante, Kos twice, Cyprus, and island hopped up the Aegean after I finished my finals some 30 odd years ago. Kos was my favourite, mainly because it was the most recent and enjoyable in both occasions. |

At the minute my favourite is Crete because you are there!
I love all the Greek islands though. They are all very Greek but each has its own unique culture and vibe. Out of the more touristsy ones I did really enjoy Rhodes. But some of the lesser known ones are fantastic because they aren’t as commercial and still have that traditional vibe about them |

Have you tried out Rethymon in Crete? Similar to Chania but less commercial, there's a big art college there, so it's a bit hipster too! |

Northern Corfu between Kassiopi and Agni
I might be bias as my parents have a place out there.
The food and views are out of this world. More or less unspoilt but some big hotels creeping in so go there quick. |

Have visited 7 or 8 islands, my favourite has been Aegina which is close to the mainland for some serious sightseeing but still retains traditional Greek charm.
Pefkos in Rhodes and St.Georges in Corfu are also favourites.

You know it’s not that way. I know you’re having a great holiday but I can’t wait to see you when you’re back |

Ah so much choice still. I think I need to give up work and just tour beautiful Greece. I've gone in to a town today in Crete and I like it a little less than the village we are staying in and the real Crete I saw yesterday in the plateau in the mountains. |

Great Harwood, Blackburn |
Been to creete 3 times and visited both sides.
Samos was a nice island when I went years back but we went in a heat wave and places where setting on fire.
Halkidiki in mainland I didn't enjoy that much mainly due to it raining all the time.
Been kos but don't remember much of it seen as I was 4.
Corfu is lovely though.
