I will just say that it isn't always awful for every woman. It's a rare woman who experiences no changes at all obviously but for some they're minor. Understanding, discussion and compromise with partners all help. |

I started them and went for the HRT, which made a massive difference.

"Why do they call it menopause when men dont get it" men do get it. They get all the loveliness of waking up in a soaking wet bed and supporting their partner. Obviously this only aplys to men who have partners

I know this is exactly how I'll feel when it does happen and I have kids. Think it's because I'd always have liked one more and my body will be saying no.

More men need to know and understand the menopause. It's something that effects 51% of the population in the UK
In August there was the UK 's first menopause conference. Women came together to discuss menstruation, the menopause and the an condition suffered by so many women called Endometriosis .
It was organised by Fair Treatment for Woman in Wales . Men were invited , but to listen, As most men don't. It was a real eye opener, it's important we all know about these issues |

I've not had a period since April which is great,I've still felt like I was going to the last couple of months but nothing has arrived. The hot sweats have gone up,I haven't exercised for a while and my diet isn't great either too much comfort food, all that doesn't help. |

It's great if work is behind it. We spend enough time there that I think it's really needed. |

If it gets worse I would mainly to help with the mood swings,if it stays how it is now then no. I need to get back to exercise and eat less carbs I felt much better over the summer. |

It’s the feeling of bleh, lack of motivation and just feeling weary. I thought perhaps it was my depression coming back but now i just think it’s my age and the peri menopause symptoms.
My mum sailed through hers fairly easy apart from being a bit snarly at my step-dad and getting the sweats, so i’m hoping i’ll be the same.
I might check out some suggested vitamins and/or natural supplements to try and pep me up.
My mum had breast cancer so didn’t have HRT and i’m not sure how I feel about it if/when I get to that stage. |

Breast cancer and hrt definately don't mix. I had a lump recently, I was lucky it nothing but the doc stopped the hrt immediately.
There are alternatives to hrt, I heard about a magnetic bracelet, That was meant to be really good. |

It is! But 60% of the workforce are women aged over 40 so it’s in their best interests. I’m really lucky in that my line manager is supportive - not sure how much of that through my education or through fear & that 70% of his staff are menopausal or peri |

Lets begin with a little correction.
Perimenopause = going through the process of transitioning from being fertile to...
Menopause = starts following a gap of one year since cessation of last period. Continues until death. |

Whilst you’re still having regular periods you are neither perimenopausal or menopausal.
Menopause starts following a year from your last period. |

You are correct. Taking HRT delays the continuation of perimenopause. When you stop taking HRT, you’ll go through it then. |
