Fabsteroos

Just sat in Cas Vegas town centre and there is a street musician playing the song ‘I cant help falling in love with you’ the Elvis song.

I’m in buckets of tears for personal reasons connected to the tune!

What song does that to you?

Chris and Stevie, by Damien Dempsey. It's on the Almighty Love album, such a powerful song about suicide and regret. It's starts slowly telling the story about his two friends, then slowly builds to a powerful finale, about how he misses them.

The way he sings and the simple lyrics can bring me to floods of tears.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

A few years ago when in a bit of a dark place I wrote a poem. A couple of years later a musician friend of mine composed some music for it and recorded it, after asking me to write a bridge.

Not only does it bring a tear to my eye when I listen to it, the guy who recorded it said that he had to keep pausing the recording as it struck a nerve with him and he was in tears singing it.

This also.

My son asked his girlfriend to marry him in a bell tower in a Parisian park.

He said it was at dusk and deserted and after they walked back down a guy was there playing guitar and singing that song.

Makes my skin tingle. They have said it will be the song they have their first dance too

Hefty Hideaway

Damien Rice has a knack for setting me off with the waterworks and 9 crimes works every time.

Wind Beneath My Wings reminds me of my friends coffin going down the aisle far too soon, I always disliked that song but not I detest it for the ability to make my eyes leak no matter where it is played.

As Long As You're Mine from Wicked - reduces me to a blubbering wreck too.

"If I could be where you are?" by Enya.

This track reduces me to a sobbing wreck.

It was part of an album she issued some 13-14 years ago. This track is beautiful and is, to me, the best one on the album.

But the week the album was released, my Father passed away after a short battle with Lung Cancer.

Each year on the anniversary of his passing, this track gets played, just the once.
