I'm meeting someone for a drink later and didn't have time to get my eyebrows threaded yesterday. So I've just spent a challenging half hour trying to pluck them myself in the bath. I can't see if I lose the specs, and I can't get to the eyebrows if I don't!

I like my specs though and still not tempted to contacts yet.

Any other four eyed issues you have? Or are you a frame fan?

I have a magnifying mirror with a light around the outside which I use when I dont have chance to get them done... which is frequently. Have you thought of mictoblading?

Hiding in the shadows

Blind as a bat without my glasses

I do wear contacts, but quite rare

Putting make up on is a real challenge.

I keep it to a very bare minimum.

The amount of times I've gone for the 'smokey eye' look, only to put my glasses back on & realise I look more like Coco the clown!

And don't get my started on how often I poke myself straight in the eye with the mascara brush

I had a magnifying mirror balancing too! That was adding to the difficulty . My best friend does microblading but I'm good with just getting threaded generally, just a nuisance when I don't find the time!

It's sexy huh ?!

I've given up on a smokey eye but I can do an eyeliner flick blind now after years of practice!

Waxed and tinted every month for me. Don’t touch them myself.

I know I'm probably going to regret this for months! But I wasn't cancelling tonight

I feel your pain, OP. I’m so blind I couldn’t even attempt to pluck my own brows.

I love wearing glasses though, which is handy, they don’t make contacts strong enough for my left eye.

Four eyes are better than two

Specs. I've not long been wearing my varifocals and was conscious, but the compliments I've had was a surprise, especially from males. Took mine out of bag to read etc, yes had them hidden, got a wow sexy keep them on xx

I got contacts, under duress, for a wedding recently. But I just don't look like me without the glasses! I just ordered new cats eye ones yesterday too which I'm pretty excited about getting

Use the mirror in your car; it has a magnifier on it plus the natural light shows you everything. I can do this with my glasses on as both hands are free.

I've given up on eye makeup altogether. Not so much a coco the clown look I get when I try it, I end up with mascara and eye shadow smeared all over my face and look like I just came out of a coal mine.

I've worn glasses most of my life, too, and think it's hilarious when people clearly need them but are in deep denial. Oh no, say it ain't so!

I use a magnifying lit mirror for brow and eye work, and my eye is a hand span away from it or I'd end up looking like I'd let a d*unken toddler at my face.

Walking down the only road I've ever known!

I've had corrective surgery on my eyes but still wear glasses and after wearing them for 53 years, they are my comfort blanket.

It is! I don't drive though so if anyone wants to loan me their car for grooming purposes that'd be great

That is exactly what they are. Love big prescription sunglasses especially, for feeling cosy and invisible!

I put my face right up to the mirror so I can see myself properly, and usually end up with mascara all over the mirror as well as my hair and hands.

I'm tempted to just leave them off on days like that so everyone else has to suffer looking at me but I'm blissfully unaware !

Checking out your profile I don't think his eyes will be on your eyebrows so you'll be fine!

Why else would straight women do these kind of things?

For themselves usually. Not for other people. Mind-blowing isn't it

I've never encountered anyone that has looked more or less attractive with or without glasses. It's just a different look.

I quite like how a well chosen pair can frame a person's face and accentuate the eyes though.

I use 2 types of uses normal magnifying mirror.

A magnifying glass to see what I need to see.

the alternative is a magnifying glass over a mirror.
