You look about and people sometimes say "oh this arch was Norman" or "this castle was built by the "Normans". Cathedrals, laws, estates ..they had it all.
But all I ever saw of any of them was either Norman Tebbit ranting, Norman Wisdom shouting "Mr Grimsdale", or Norman Rossington looking gormless.
What went wrong with our Normans?
