Depends on what type of stuff you like to do, there’s loads of attractions, theme park, piers, zoo, cinema, theatre, shows
I’m regularly in Blackpool, it’s not too bad, always something to do |

Goin' up the 'Pool,
From down the smoke below.
To taste me mum's jam sarnies,
And to see our Aunty Flo.
The candy floss salesman,
Watches ladies in the sand.
Down for a freaky weekend.
In the hope that they'll be meatin',
Mr Universe. |

I personally think blackpools a great place.. ok it's run down & falling apart in places but the pleasure beach is still brilliant, the zoo is good, dungeons, sea life centre, fish & chips everywhere, a cheap pint & some nightlife clubs etc. All thrown in with the cheapest hotels in the uk. Does for a budget weekend away especially if you have kids as well. |

Blackpool is still one of my favourite places. I have a lot of happy childhood memories there and hold a very special sentimental place in my heart. I know its run down in places and just go a few streets back and you can see the poverty in town. But I love there are still parts of my childhood still around (even if they are now run down). I love the town and now I take my kids every year for the illuminations.
Plus now I know there is a couple of clubs in town I'm sure me and My Girl will have to go for a more adult weekend sometime. |

Like any seaside town in the UK, compare it to the Med where the sunshine is nearly guaranteed and it's going to feel a little bit unavoidably shit.
There is plenty to do in Blackpool, in reality it is one of our liveliest coastal towns in the country - the fact is it's in Britain and it has all the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of that fact right there on hand.
Plentiful nightlife, something for all tastes, plenty of amusements and lovely countryside in travelling distance if you want it.
All British "resorts" are either a bit sleepy or brash, there's no in between.
