Strange user names?

What’s with all the new profiles with weird usernames, have noticed the last couple of weeks a lot of single lady profiles with what look like randomly generated names, and only one line in the profile? Fake profiles or phishing?

If we're thinking of the same thing, I think they are fakes. Single men posing as couples. I can't be sure but it makes sense. They get blocked pretty quickly when they message us. Luke

It was more the nature of the username that makes me think they are fake, almost as if they are generated by a computer

Many of them are real people but the system has generated a user name similar to one they wanted but is already taken. Ones with a lot of numbers after them for example xx

Seen some weird ones that looking at the profile and pictures it's clear that they are genuine, but weird to us can be perfectly sensible to them so don't worry about it.

The profile is more likely to be the factor that exposes the user as not to engage with. It often is obvious that the user isn't who they portray to be.

If you are not happy report them or block them or best option is both.

I've seen a few with just one line in the details section, which rings alarm bells with me

Especially if the only line is "I'm a XX year old single woman and I'm looking to meet men"
