"Who Are You-The Who
Rumours-Fleetwood Mac
Never Mind The Bollocks-Sex Pistols
What's The Story Morning Glory-Oasis
Rocket To Russia-Ramones
Seventh Wave-Skipinnish. "
Well done! I'm impressed.
I think Rumours is the most complete album ever so I wonder how many of us will have it in our lists?

What can I say? I know what I like
I actually tried to think of some more contemporary albums, and there are plenty I like, but none that would quote grab me the way those I listed did and still do - the fact that most of them are 40 years old now and yet still move me and get regularly played says it all |

Cardiacs are possibly the most underground and difficult to describe outfit ever- you love or hate them, and have been going since 79. Look on Youtube under 'tarred and feathered'
As for Mr Numan- still going strong- Brilliant artist.

That's a good start. We can overthink these things (I am!) but our souls grab the ones we'd rescue in a disaster.

This is so wrong, like asking which are my favourite children.
Pink Floyd, The Wall
The Pogues, If I should fall from the grace of God
Thin Lizzy, Fighting
Propaganda, 1234
Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello, Painted from memory
AC/DC, Back in Black.
Each one would satisfy my needs for great music
Must admit Nick Cave has to be included somewhere

For me, a child born in the 60s, the word Album conjures up fond memories of Radio 1, Top of the Pops, NME and much more.
Any album by the Beatles.
Any album by The Rolling Stones.
The World of The Organ with Reginald Dixon at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool.
Voulez Vous - Abba.
Any album by Madonna.
Any album by Chris Rea.
That's 6 Albums.
Can I squeeze another one out for any album by Black Lace?

Now there's an album I never thought I'd see mentioned - not because it's bad, just long forgotten by many - I Just Can't Stop It shades it for me, but Wha'ppen and indeed Special Beat Service are all great, as is Here We Go Love which Dave released last year |

It's part of the human mind, but certain music tracks are often associated with certain events in our lives. Chris Rea always reminds me of two young women who played large parts in my growing up years. One who was a Chris Rea fan was borderline "special needs". The other was from a broken home and back then I didn't grasp why she called her son "her cherry tree".
However, come on, Black Lace? The two young ladies I mention above were stable enough to get on the dance floor at the Batley Variety Club every time that Black Lace started singing "We're having a gang bang".
How can you not shake a pineapple at Black Lace? Remember that the next time you're grinding. A coffee.
I have every confidence that my 3 favourite people would agree with me.
My 3 favourite people are Rita, Sue and Bob too.
