So I am thinking of getting a new job in the same field I am in at the moment.

To be quite frank I do not get paid enough for the role I am doing now as I know I am good at my job and deserve better.

Why is it that all employers seem to think that you need them more than they need you? I had an interview today for a company that was paying a salary that to be honest was disgusting for the hours, commitments and expectations they had!

To put it simply; people are desperate for jobs. And that’s how employers get away with being shitty

Unfortunately, that’s all down to the jobs market at the moment. Many people are so desperate for work that employers have got the upper hand. They can make demands which may seem unreasonable, but people are so desperate for work that they will accept any terms offered. Hardly surprising when you consider the alternative.
