I would find the car interesting and have never been in a Maserati. It wouldn't make me any more attracted to the person driving it though.

If two guys I liked equally offered me a lift and one drove a people carrier the other a Maserati I'd go in the Maserati. I'm shallow like that .

This is fab. Everyone is more attracted to personality apparently and they're all able to infer personality from possessions.

I'm an equal opportunities fabber. As I said above if two guys I liked equally invited me for a night away I'd choose five star hotel guy. Unless it was different nights, then I'd accept both invitations.

I don't see virtue in material possessions but I don't see virtue in not appreciating them either

I like brains and a big cock personally, couldn't care less what anyone drives as long as they are a decent human being. And if someone is wealthy enough to own a Maserati but can't accommodate, I'd assume they were cheating on a partner.

I've had an amazing night sleeping in the back of a transit van and eating Cornish pasties off plastic plate because the company was amazing.

I've also had horrible nights in fancy hotels because the company was tedious.

I suppose it depends on whether you consider things or people more important.

Like with the car scenario, you're confusing basic materialism with personality ... many people are materialistic enough to go with the better car or the better hotel but that doesn't make them nice or anything else just materialistic. I'd rather go wild camping with an awesome person and have a laugh and an adventure than go to a 5* hotel with a materialistic person sorry

Tbh I’ve no idea what that even is!

I think the one (and only tbh) advantage that men have on here compared to the real world is that it matters not a jot what job they have, what car they drive or how much they have in the bank!

I think it must be incredibly liberating - but I still get the odd dick head messaging me who tries to woo me with a posh car, expensive hotel etc etc!

Im a complete petrol head and have found certain cars ive had attract women more than others.. ive never played on that and never would.

On the other foot though if i see a woman in a convertible or sports type car i wouldnt batt a eye at..

However... if i see a cutie in a nice landrover defender or a big 'manly' pick up truck that snaps my head off.. i dig that- definate attraction.

The virtue signalling posts.

I detest any outward sign of attractiveness or wealth. I'm at my happiest in a cold, field with a flea ridden, poverty stricken tramp for tis he and only he who has a nice personality.

Of course I like a nice guy in a Honda Civic but I like a nice guy in an Aston Martin too. What I'm trying to say is if you ask me not to judge a person by their possessions you'd better be asking me not to judge them by any of their possessions.

Being devil's advocate here:

If something material about a guy or girl makes them more attractive then whatever it is works for you.

It may be cars, watches/jewellery, clothes (i.e. Suits) or shiny shoes.

Each to their own. Some things make a good impression, some don't.

Sure material things will attract some. But end of day it's only "stuff" . You really want someone who's only noticed you due to type of car you ?? Not type of person I'd want anything to do with personally .

Plus if type of car you have and hotel you'd book is what you relie on get interest here then that's pretty sad in my book .

"Expensive cars do attract women that is a fact "

Not my experience. The only car I can say definitely has an affect on women is the Dihatsu Copen.

I borrowed a friend's once and in a single afternoon had three different gorgeous women come up to me and say:

"What is that - it's sooo cute!"

I love a good car, don't get me wrong. But I don't find myself attracted to someone because of their car - if the person goes on about in a way that's hoping to impress (and not in a "I love dorking out about cars way" I end up thinking penis extension or over compensating.

I've been a massive petrol head for as long as I can remember, but more into Yanks now (since about a couple of years before getting mine - which I've had now for 16 years).

When I was a teenager I did, of course, have Lamborghini's and Ferraris on my bedroom walls but flash exotic supercars don't do anything for me anymore.

Really not into BMW/Mercs/Audi's either because of what they say to me about the majority of the people who drive them.

A mate of mine had a BMW once - though not for long as he found it a particularly boring car to drive.

We were sat outside a bar in the city centre this year. A guy drove up in his bright red (beautiful) Farrari, parked up on double yellows, placed a Disabled Blue Badge on his dashboard and came into the bar.

We spent a couple of hours sitting outside drinking and having fun. He spent the two hours sat on his own looking at his car, watching people taking selfies and pictures in front of it.

I can honestly say that he looked as miserable as sin. Scarlett was not attracted to him in any way shape or form.

I would be more interested in a man (or woman) on a nice motorbike wearing leathers than anyone driving a flash car. They are nearly always trying to make up for their lack of personality or penis.

I remember a court case in California a few years ago.

It involved an upmarket car dealer selling new cars - it may have been Ferrari, I cannot remember.

Anyway, every time a middle-aged man drove away in their new toy for the first time, the garage hired scantily-clad women to act as pedestrians at the first set of traffic lights.

Well, you can imagine what happened.

These guys feeling very pleased with themselves, their head turned by a woman whom they think will be begging them for a ride in their car and . . . prang, collision with the vehicle in front!

Brand new Ferrari, back to the garage.

The garage was making a fortune in repairs until the scam was rumbled.
