Banksy's largest work on canvas sells for £9.9 million. What an awesome piece, it's difficult to tell the difference between that and the real thing.

Banksy is a particularly very good graffiti artist. I have seen a few dotted around the UK, also a few look a likes. I'm not a big fan of the street name scrawl it's mostly rubbish. Banksy though covers controversial, thought provoking topics, however anyone paying that sort of money for contemporary art needs their head testing.

I'm not sure where Banksy's ethics lie as well, he makes a lot of money from provocation, controversy and the system he so clearly mocks. So a bit of a hypocrite really.

The subject matter of this art piece does reflect a pretty good likeness to The UK parliament today.

I disagree. On the whole i think it's thought provoking, ironic, commentative and very, very clever.

portishead

The painting was sold by a private collector. Banksy didn’t get any of the money.

(Also He’s currently in a long running legal battle with a company selling work with his name on).

There is some really good murals in BRISTOL unfortunately there is Also a lot of shite tags all over the place from fuckwits who think it’s clever to deface anything that is nice.

Even the new stuff they have built in in the recent past has been covered in shitty scrawling that just looks a mess
