"Is Paris a war zone ? "
Just like your thread on London a while back, no neither Paris nor London are war zoomed. Do they have their problems? Yes is the answer. As is the case with London, their are suburbs in Paris which are just as unsavoury. I think you’ll find this in most major cities in the world. |

Speaking as someone who has been in two warzones, no.. NO!
Fucks me off when relatively free people describe a relatively free city as a warzone.
All you're seeing is a bit of civil disobedience, or crime. That's nothing compared to the Horrors of War. Its insulting to every civilian and every soldier on every side of every conflict to have situations like these compared to what we went through.
Have a word. |

"what is the latest for notre dam are they going to start some restoration project anytime or in the future?"
Already happening. The whole area is fenced off but from the boat trips you can see the work is well underway |

"What happened there today ?
An act of war"
Pretty sure they said it was an employee who lost it & specifically wasn't terrorist related?
Whenever I see a post like this, I always assume it's just some Tommy Robinson/Nigel Farage loving numpty wanting an excuse to come out with some ignorant, racist bollocks.. |

Paris police believe it was the action of a disgruntled employee. So next time you say something out of turn to your boss, we'll send in the marines?"
Better modify my language in my 1 to 1 today then.. |

Not really, it has good bits and diabolical bits like every other city. Some areas really stink of excrement and are pretty run down, Gare du Nord can be smelly, the metro can be smelly. The gilet jaune protests have been pretty intense though, but then the usual attendance of Antifa, Black Block and anarchists turns any city into a war zone.
The Algerian community are pretty good at making Paris slightly more colourful, particularly when they win a football match, Cars do get set on fire.
It's like all major cities, enjoy the bits you like, Paris has some great architecture, avoid the spots which are a bit dodgy. |
