I guess it depends how it's gone wrong.

Oh dear, hate to imagine how you’re feeling. Are you sure the swelling has gone down?

My ex partner had a tummy tuck as she was very paranoid as she had a bit of excess skin after child birth years ago. She wouldn’t get undressed with the lights on and was a big problem for her. I didn’t want her to get it done as I was more than happy with the way she was, but it was a big deal for her.

She researched somewhere locally and found a surgeon who was based a Bupa hospital near us who said it would cost £6000 and said he would be able to do the operation and was saying her scar would be below the Bikini line.

She decided to go with him and had the operation.

Everything seemed to go well. We go her home and she was obviously really sore.

Says passed and I saw her scar and it looked like she had been attacked by a shark. The scar started on one side just below her ribs and all the way to the other side and looked fucking terrible and nothing what he promised her.

We brought it up with him and he kind of fobbed us off and with nearly a year of arguing he agreed to do it again and he made it worse than it was before.

To cut a long story a bit shorter the Bupa hospital banned him from working there as we put it on line and other people started say that he bodged their ops too and we had an independent surgeon brought in from Bupa to have a look at her and there is nothing that could be done as he had taken too much skin.

She got the price of the operation back from Bupa plus she is still suing the surgeon but that will take years.

So be so careful when you think about any kind of cosmetic surgery as sometimes you could come out looking worse as when you got in.

I have no advice but jeez it doesn't sound good to be stuck with a permanent reminder...maybe more surgery but thoroughly researched. Good luck, I hope it all works out in the end x
