"Come on! SURELY there must be some climbers or hikers here x
Hiker, but not a climber. I have noodle-arms. "
I've never heard an arm described this way, I've seen these noodle arms though! it's not what you've got it's what you do with it. Right? |

precisely, technique is what makes the difference. A few gals I know are technically excellent, they make up for the lack of 'power' by climbing well.
Keep it up pal |

I have had a go but you need a lot of hand strength and it ruins your nails. |

Wales climber here, I've found the best place to find genuine climber ladies is to visit the crags and appropriate pubs
A compatible lady mountaineer is a gem of a find x stops me soloing too much
Even better if they like ice axe and cramp on expeditions x |

"I go to an indoor bouldering centre in Kent on a monthlyish basis. I really enjoy it and it's a great all over workout. Not sure about doing it out doors yet though."
It is a totally different sport. Outdoors the skill set is different. You will be able to set up top ropes on some routes but, again even the climbing is different.
Find a climbing buddy x
Keep up the indoor, it is a great work out xx |

There are no ropes in bouldering anyway, so I wouldn't have thought the the skill set is that much different. Just the floors aren't as soft if you fall! |

I misread and thought there was climbing too. Come down to Devon, boulder on the nice sharp Dartmoor granite it is different, you shall see x |

I'm a distance backpacker wild camper type. But haven't gone into much rock climbing other than a bit if scrambling to get through a trail. I expect it needs a lot of kit and base camping. |
