I used to love costa coffee their machines are mostly everywhere but lately it’s becoming weaker, you get less in a cup too, now hate to say it they are probably way behind Starbucks on flavour..
Your thoughts? |

Since Costa have been taken over by Coke, they have reduced the amount you get, plus price increase.
McD for me, but read that Greggs has more coffee per cup (as in the amount of coffee in the cup then added milk etc) than any other.

McDonald's. Best for what you get. Prefer Costa but it keeps going up same for Starbucks. Almost £4 for a coffee if you have a syrup !! However anyone fancy a coffee would love to meet up at any coffee place. |

"Can't Stand Costa. If I was going out for a coffee I would choose an independent coffee shop. I do like Starbucks toffee nut latte at Christmas though"
Don't do anything with a syrup in, and rare I go with the cream on a hot chocolate either!
Just coffee.

I’m glad this has sparked opinions from lots of you.
One thing I did notice, the comment “these places are ruining the high street”
They have always been in high streets..
Pls allow me to explain
Tea shops, liptons, wimpy and more.. we just don’t realise coffee is the new tea |

There have always been shops, and chains of course. But the amount of them, their in your face branding and relentless advertising is surely worse than ever? More than ever, we’re lazy creatures of convenience, primed to be sold to. |

Agreed - I live in a relatively small town (around 16,000 residents) that has a dieing High Street of mainly charity shops, nail bars, estate agents and hairdressers and yet we will soon have 3 Costas!! |

I don’t want to go off topic but I’d rather see a chain coffee shop on a high street than boarded up, empty units.
Many Costas are franchises so I can understand why people are trying to cash in on the coffee boom, however insipid their product. |

Prefer Pret but if there isn’t one and there aren’t any independents around then Nero. The coffee at Costa and Starbucks is somehow, too weak or not flavoursome enough. |

"Is it snobby to say they all taste like complete shite? If so, I’m a snob. Independent coffee shops all the way!" .
This. Italy is the coffee drinking capital of the world! But how many Starbucks are there in Italy.... |
