How many messages do you receive per day?

I keep seeing statuses where women on fab are complaining about having 100’s of messages to sift through and wondered on average how many do people get (men and women)?
I’ll start by admitting I only get about 2-3 per day, of which nearly all are responses... |

Normally about 8-10 a day
Hundreds is a huge exaggeration
If you change your profile pic or put up new pics you tend to get an increase in messages but I think the most I got in the first week in one day was around 40 |

Well my average of a few a day now doesn’t sound so bad! Here was me thinking I’ve been doing it wrong!!
You’re definitely right though I think you have to be an “active” member to get more attention so posting on a forum, uploading a new pic.... all good ideas I suppose.

Back when I started first it was relentless, hundreds a day before I'd even uploaded a pic! It's tapered off now, I think my wall of text profile puts people off  |

It's not a huge exaggeration I can assure you . I know lots of single females on here, and when we catch up they show me their phones. It's annoying for them as they get to miss the decent ones. They also have their filters set. I'm glad I'm only a single male and don't get a huge amount of messages.
Even then if I don't think to save them. I find it frustrating when they go into cyber space  |

It varies and very much depends on whether I have "active" conversations going on etc
What you have to remember OP is the nature of the site and balance of men to women here means that women will get a lot more than men. |

The messages from the guys have defo made me feel slightly better about my fab experience it seems we are all suffering from the same thing!

I can get a few in bunches but since I made my profile so specific on purpose, I have reduced them which I am fine with. So I may get half a dozen or more now instead of a load from unsuitable profiles  |

Because the site only accepts the emojis on here and not from a phone.
On average 20 ish a day. If I'm really active on the forums or add new photos it goes up dramatically |

I don't get many messages.. I think women are spoilt for choice so why would they chase men so much?
Personally speaking I only need the right message that sparks my interest rather than a flood of small talk. |

It does vary but on average, even with my filters about 50 a day. If I put a new pic up which I haven't for ages, then it just gets silly. I've had over 2,000 unread messages in my box at times and it gets overwhelming. Bulk delete is all one can do. |

When I was a single lady it was between 25 and 40 messages a day. Now we’re on as a couple we’re lucky if we get one a week from new people (we do get the odd one from people we’ve chatted to before)! A single guy messaged us yesterday so I suppose that’s our quota up for the week! Lol |

More than 50 most days but 49 of them get immediately deleted or blocked because they've not read my profile or are making disgusting remarks as an introduction. It's a great distraction from the real world though!!! |

If you do the maths, there is no way a person will get 200 messages a day, every day. It's just sad souls trying to show off. I'm here for quality, not quantity lol |

I can get 150 or more a day if I am helping to organise an event and have no filters, so that I can answer questions about it. Even when I have filters up , I still get about 20 - 30 a day. And post lots in the forums or add new photos and that increases.

Maybe ladies would be better served searching ..they know better than any description they can write what it is they seek, same as anyone else.

If I put up new pictures and contribute to the forums or add to meet today, I'd say around 20-30.
I generally come on to the site when I wake up at 5am, almost guaranteed a message or two whilst browsing the forums.
I'd say on average around five a day.
Winks however are a different matter  |

I used to get silly numbers, then I discovered the filters. Game changer. You can be really specific about who can message, and you can control it, easily, if you choose to. Makes life much easier! |

Same for me, when I'm online for a few hours I'll maybe get one or two but if I'm only online for 5 minutes or so at a time I can go weeks without any new messages |

I think it can be somewhere around 5-20. That doesn’t mean they are of good quality, and most clearly haven’t looked at my profile and are from a copy/paste scattergun approach.
I do remember when I first joined being absolutely overwhelmed with messages, to the point that I deleted my account after a couple of days. |

On average between 8/14 per day..lots more when we post new pics..we did this yesterday and in one hour had 18 messages and 14 winks and 6 friend requests from random people we had not spoken to. |

I've seen some inboxes first hand. We are talking hundreds...per day. It's mindblowing. I'm surprised friends get back to me at times. |

Usually about 80 a day , if I post a new pic it can jump to about 200 for a few days , if I'm advertising for a meet I can get 500 in a day , bulk delete mostly cos don't have time to respond to all , sorry guys |

I think it also depends where you live ... for example you are showing up on who's near or local updates for wayyyy more people within your filter range in say london than you would be in the highlands
That said i have a single female profile , used in 2 decent sized cities, with pictures that i think get a decent chunk of fabs and spend far too much time online on the forums ... and i have still managed to keep it to about 20 or less a day by having good filters |

I've never had a message out of the blue... I may get one or two messages every now and again .... |

I've unchecked all my 'looking for' boxes and it's bliss. Just getting a manageable amount of messages from friends, forum and replies to conversations I start now. |

Rejoining after a break, with no veris...its very quiet, but that's always the way it's been. I guess it depends on lifestyle and location in the country too.

Most days we don't get any messages, but then we have single guys blocked. If we are particularly active on the forum or post new pics then there will be a message or two, but generally nothing.
