Aussie Reece Hodge banned for 3 games for his completely illegal tackle against Fiji, now why the TMO or the ref didn’t spot it is laughable, no wonder World Rugby are not impressed with the refereeing so far.

True, although some of the games have been good re: refereeing. I thought Wayne Barnes was excellent the other day and the guy who did the England v Tonga game was very good too.

japan are playing at beyond celtic league speed... its like ireland have set up to play a team a lot slower hence the defence.....

plus the wingers are hugging the touchline so ireland can't crab in.....

saying that if ireland can speed up the way they play they will force the wingers in come in... and that crossfield ball is on all day

"Oh Hello, when did Japan decide they'd turn up

always compare japan to italy in that they will anyone a game for 50-60 minutes...

its the last 20 where they run out of puff thats the problem

Yes, I'd expect Ireland to dominate the last 30 mins.

I’m not so sure, Japan are playing some serious rugby, great with ball in hand and tackling out of the skins too...this will be close."

They are, but it depends on how long they can last at this place/intensity. I suspect Ireland have more in the tank. Might be wrong. We'll see

As much as I'm admiring the effort Japan is putting in, from an exceptionally selfish point of view, I'd much rather Ireland did NOT finish second in the pool

"Japan are getting stronger as the game goes on not weaker "

I know nothing about Rugby but told some mates months ago that Japan will be strong...amazing what drugs in sport can do! Btw have no evidence, just a hunch.

Brilliant reaction from Japan coach - small smile and a subtle clap of the hands ... he knows what they are capable of.
