Sick kids, asshole father, work worries, lack of sleep. The list seems endless

sounds like you have a lot going on and amongst all that it's not easy to switch off and that is really important I think. Hopefully the kids will feel better soon. give the asshole father a kick up the arse and work you can only do your best.
