The club will comeback but it may take a few seasons to rebuild. Annoys me how naive supporters can be to think their team will always remain at the top or that spending £100m+ will instantly solve things. It was very satisfying being at the game yesterday though!!! |

Failure to adapt to the game is played today.
Stuck in the 'Fergie' way.
Bad management at board level.
Poor managerial choices.
Dreadful transfer activity.
It'll be another 5 years before any teams are in a position to offer a threat equal to Liverpool and City. |

It,ll do them good for a while similar things have happened to lesser clubs over the years, Its often a big part of football and you,ll surely see it happen a number of times in a lifetime whichever big club you support, I,m a great believer in haveing players who work up from the grass roots of that club they play for its now days to long a journey for most clubs to wait for these players `Availability` they are the kind of players I like but If you relied on those players you,d be waiting for a long time you would at derby anyway, now days its more a business, than a sport and there is to much demand on the game where you don,t see this its quite enjoyable those are the times I remember not the others.

Nothing is wrong with Man United, they're amazing entertainment....but I am a Liverpool fan so not sure we're getting the same joy from it
As an LFC fan though I see a lot of our wilderness years in what's happening at United. A string of managers who don't fit and too many flops on the field.
Now the final piece of the puzzle is a manager with a shockingly bad record who'll be given time and money to waste because of what he's achieved on the field at the club.
What makes it extra bad for them is the boost in Premiership spending power. Gone are the days when United could pluck the best players from other premiereship teams easily. Palace and Leicester dragged them around all through the transfer window and got some massive fees at the end of it.
It's a long road back from here...if they do come back.

Fergie bet the farm on Rooney, instead of Ronaldo.
He openly admits letting Ronaldo go was one of the biggest mistakes of his time at Manchester United, what he does not openly admit is it contributed to a downward spiral at Manchester United.
Rooney was supposed to be better than ronaldo, they were buying in players to suit Rooney, and they built the team around him. He then never really performed on the big stage.
He should have sold rooney, held onto ronaldo, appeased ronaldo by building a team around him, and handed the team off to another manager is a good state. Instead of making a huge blunder and dumping it on other people to fix. |

"I thought they were doing very well at generating money? It's a profitable business isn't it?" Yes they are, but they dont spend the money on players like the clubs around them do.

City paid less for KDB & Jesus than united paid for Pogba... definitely not wise transfer activity.

I remember them back in the second division, comes around, goes around.
As with most of the premiershit these days there a 'sports franchise's,players have very little interest in the club, just next contract, wasted huge amounts of money, dissolution of power into chaos |

Absolutely loving what's happening to ushited. After years of getting earache from smug fans for being a blue, i'm laughing at how fickle and mardy they have become. |

"Power shift to Man City and Liverpool.
Man Utd have never been able to replicate the brilliance and organisation of Fergie in any manager since.
"
Being a manc and red. K ahree good leader focussed consistent and left to do what he did best .. fergie great manager.
These days no one is given a chance to build a team lose a game out.. where as fergie grew the team.
Tbh.. stuff football rugby is on |

Seems like they are in a downward spiral to mediocrity to me. Crazy to give the job to Ole so soon during the new manager 'bounce' - what credentials does he have to be manager of 'the biggest club in the world', apart from being a (very useful) ex-player? They really need to be qualifying for the Champions League, but there needs to be a substantial turnaround for that to look likely - there are at least 6 teams better than them in the League it seems at the moment! The board and their chopping and changing of Managers seem to have created a team mostly made up mostly of expensive and average players. The young players (Gomes, Chong, Garner, Greenwood), seem to be coming through (slowly), but can see them taking a while to become established. Only time will tell. |

"They are now on the 15th place and near relegation battle, will they win today against norwich? hope not i bet my mate they go down" They did win but it would be strange if they did battle in the bottom 3 to stay up as you are used to see them in the top 4. |

"They lost against bournmouth 1 - 0 is pogba overrated?.
Pogba has played for weeks.
Bad board, bad players (Lingard) bad coaching, bad owners.
*Hasn't*" . I agree with all of this.l think a director of football to act in between the manager and board would help I can’t fault the 3 signings made by Ole it may only be November but I think the only way to get into the Champions Leauge next season is to put all our eggs in one basket and prioritise the Europa League |

if you agree with all of the above... bad board.. bad players bad coaches etc then why do you think a director of football is the answer?? |

A director of football can at least look to get rid of the bad players and if Ole isn’t the man for the job and so far he looks out of his depth he can get rid of him. With the board unfortunately the director of football can’t get rid off but perhaps a different CEO instead of Ed Woodward would be a start |

the board your stuck with unless they sell up... the manager was NEVER the right choice, the remit for the utd job isnt, with all due respect, molde and Cardiff then onto man utd....so theres the start... Pochettino is from the outside for the man for the job... but i hope they stick with Ole |

It seems a lot of people blame the United board, but it's not like they don't back the manager with new signings. The board doesn't run the training and tactics on the pitch. Ole may have been a great player, but I don't see anything that suggests he is (or is going to be) a great manager at United. |

The board and the majority of the fans got carried away with the start that Ole made as caretaker manager and gave him the job when it would have been best to wait to the end of the season and evaluate the season and what Ole achieved over his 5 months not 2-3 months when he was doing well.Pochettino would be a better fit and possibly Mass Allegiri ( ex Juventus manager ).For me we should wait to the end of the season evaluate the season then make the decision to sack Ole or retain. My gut feeling is the job is too big for him as you said Cardiff and Molde is not the CV a big club like Man Utd should be looking at |
