Well the weather has turned so the bbq has been cleaned and covered. First sunday dinner of the autumn today. I'm feeding the clan, so I've already done a roast veg and chorizo soup (awesome with some grated gruyere and a crusty loaf!)
Next up is a lemon and tarragon butter chicken, home made roasties, honey roast butternut squash and parsnips, yorkshire puddings and veg.
Making some flambed rum and honey soaked nectarines with ice cream for desert.
What's everyone else having?

In my mind I am having that, in reality I’ve had vertigo since Wednesday so all I fancy today is a bit of rice pudding which is simmering away in the oven |

"Vegetable Tagine on as we speak. Picked the Tagine up a couple of weeks ago in Morocco along with some spice. Pile it in and slow simmer on a tiny heat leave and eat later. "
Nice. Love me some north African spices |

It's like some kind of amazing food porn Mirth. Nice one.
Well lunch is going to be a Maccie D's as I'm delicate. Tonight I'm hoping for a spicy chickpea chilli and lots of cheese. I'm refusing to cook. |

I've been a busy boy, I've also food prepped for the week at work.

12 mushroom, chorizo, chilli, cheese, spring onion omelette cupcakes..
Got some protein balls to make later.. |

My inner Gordon Ramsey and mojo had left me today so i was down for something simple like beans on toast when out of the blue my local Balti house owner dropped in a meal from a new menu they are experimenting with.
Said hi to him on my dog walk and he thought I wasn't looking my normal happy self.
There are still some good people out there

I've got veg curry and rice and spotted dick and custard flying my way.
I want a roast dinner, but they don't have them in the fine establishment in which I'm dining.
Hmph. |

Slow roasting a pork shoulder for pulled pork for today (roasted sweet potato wedges, sautéed leek, creamed corn, gravy), and a black cherry crumble for today.
Will turn pork leftovers into a ragu tomorrow I suspect. |

"Naked burrito for me on its way... tomato rice, pulled pork, peppers, onions, fresh tomato and onion salsa, guacamole, sour cream and some nachos.... cold, fresh and crunchy "

Slow cooked chili cooked from scratch with diced steak and minced pork, bacon, toasted cumin seeds, oregano, re-hydrated Ancho and Chipottle chilies, fresh chilies, garlic, fresh tomatoes and black eyed beans.
It's been cooking for 3 hours and a wonderful earthy aroma is beginning to fill the house. |

"OMG I love the fact all your guys cook for a fat bird you are like unicorns
I love cooking! Your comment has reminded me that I have to make a guacamole and a pineapple salsa."
I see your guacamole and pineapple salsa and raise you a nectarine guacamole (in place of the tomatoes). |

So true, I actually do become more interested in a guy as soon as he offers to cook for me "
I think cooking a meal for someone is one of the most intimate things you can do.. besides the obvious of course |

Agree. Particularly if you’ve taken the time to plan something you know they’ll adore |
