Just had a newbie call me Daddy in her second message.
Me and my partner are in a DDBG dynamic which has taken a long time to cultivate.
It’s really off putting when someone assumes they can use that title.
But my partner bearing her teeth was amusing |

"Many of us find the term unsettling full stop. "
Each to their own but I agree with the above.
I've never understood the word play like this at all, the undertones to it are disturbing.
That is however my own personal opinion, and I'm not attempting to kink shame or call you out on it at all.

“Undertones to it are disturbing”
Does sound a little kink shaming but we don’t take it personally. It’s all good |

Newbies are new, give them a chance.
Maybe politely and gently point it out to her instead of posting on the forums about it.
She could see and that is hardly welcoming. |

"People misunderstand the dynamic a lot.
It's nothing to do with father/daughter relationships, and everything to do with submission and feeling safe and nurtured at the same time. "
Choose another word then, why use the word daddy? |

It sounds like she was trying to make an effort with yourselves. Take it as a backhanded compliment |

I feel the same when someone calls me "Mistress" in their first email. I agree it takes time and effort to cultivate a relationship like that. You're not automatically someone's Daddy or Mistress just because it's something they want and assume it's OK |

Tried to message you but it wouldn’t allow! I’m currently in the early part of a daddy Dom kink with a crazily keen 19 year old . Would be good to connect with more experienced couples like yourself |
