When they add 9 hours onto their journey to spend 4 hours with you on new years day because they know it will mean the world to you.
When you're their first thought in the morning and last thought at night.

I'd say...
When they've seen you at your worst, physically or emotionally.
Accept all your faults & don't care or judge.
Go out of their way to do things, they may not enjoy but know it makes you happy (I'm not talking sexual)
Give you time, when they could be doing something else for themselves.

Through Actions and not words, if they are there for you through the worst times uncomplaining, if they can be there even when you dont ask just because they want to be near you. If they can clean up and look after you when you look and feel like shit but still have time to kiss you better....if they open themselves to you, heart and soul.....
Well that's what I think love is anyway.
