I do it monthly, a batch of curry sauce, spaghetti sauce, pie fillings, chilli con carne, and meat stew.
Makes dinner selection easy, saves loads of money, and time during the week. |

I have to batch cook, I living on your own and recipes are for 4 or more...
Took dinner out of the freezer this morning, I think its chicken curry, ready meal surprise!
Its cost effective and so easy to do, no idea why more people don't do it, even if you have one portion left freeze it instead of throw it away |

I have a monthly batch cooking day. a couple of bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon, some chill out sounds and I'm in my element. Sometimes I get a bit carried away and do too much, think I need a bigger freezer |

"Ha, I’ve just done corned beef hash.... but what ingredients do you use or do you improvise? "
I sometimes grate chorizo or salami into my corned beef hash if I'm improvising, and occasionally chop up a jalapeño finely to give it a bit of oooomph. |

Do this occasionally. Last effort was Chicken Stir Fry. Best chicken breasts, chopped in a woc, microwave and add chopped peppers of all colours, add frozen peas and sweetcorn, microwave Uncle Bens rice (any flavour you like) and finally add a Chinese sauce such as Oyster and Spring Onion. Airtight boxes for the surplus, Wish I had a bigger freezer. |

Well being as I live in the City centre I doubt it, but I used to live out in the sticks and even had an orchard at the top of ma garden |

A ragu ready for a spag bol
Lasagne
Chicken and sweet leek pie
Chilli
Cottage Pie
Batter for Yorkshire Puds/toad in the hole

Mine is like a stew style, potato carrot onion in water with red and brown sauce added once veg is soft, at the last minute add diced corned beef, a tin of beans and serve with brown sauce, bread and butter. Mmmmm |
