I’ve been working away from home and staying hotels for a number of years now but never really had much success in meeting people in the local area. So I’m guessing most people’s preferences are for more long term regular fun as appose to a few weeks of regular fun. Or maybe I’m not trying hard enough. Thoughts? Preferences?
P.S. anybody in Harlow fancy a social? |

I simply prefer people who live locally to me. I never know when I might get the 'urge' so don't want to wait for someone who I may have met from out of town to travel hours to get to me. |

Yeah, it’s a difficult one.
I am over a ‘region’ so once a week I’m always having to travel throughout the region and stay in hotels.
It’d sure be nice to have some company at dinners & at the bar at night. It gets a little lonely doing it every month.
But I’ve never tried to arrange a meet or talked with women in the area.. I might give it a go when I’m away this week. |

For me,I would worry they were cheating on someone at home(seen a few that are).
Plus many seem to message the day or day before they arrive in town,so no chance to get to know them or build up trust etc.Thats just my thoughts and reasons I prefer local meets.

I have a different version of this as I work away from home, permanently!
My career choice has meant there wasn't any matching work in my home town so I looked away elsewhere.
It does tend to be though that despite a semi-permanent base in which I cannot accommodate, I can only travel away to meet others which limits me sometimes as to choices.
Equally, when home every 8 weeks or so, for a week at a time, even with advance notice etc, people are not always available when I'm free! |

That sounds like a shitty situation my friend! Just put up your meet a few days before you arrive to your next stop. |

It's not as bad as it sounds. Planning ahead does work, especially as I always have the same days off each week. |

My fella works away with work lots. He's slept more in hotel beds than his bed in the last month. I say he's needs a lock up garage, rather than a morgage!
He has verius sucess with hotel meets as a single male.
If I go with him we always find a single bloke to come to our room.
I don't play alone in hotel rooms now, due to one bloke. Who has ruied it for the rest of you. |

Used to work all over the Middle East and North Africa for weeks sometimes months on end, never had a problem finding a woman when or if I had the time and flexibility.
Downside of a living like that is I have never had a meaningful relationship either.
