This is what it says on gov website:
If you’re moving or living abroad
You can register as an overseas voter for up to 15 years after leaving the UK, as long as:
1- you’re a British or eligible Irish citizen
2- you were registered to vote in the UK within the previous 15 years (or, in some cases, if you were too young to have registered when you left the UK) |

If BJ has shut parliament...why dont they, just as an experiment...keep it shut and see how the rest of us fare. I think we might be pleasantly suprised. |

Vote? Why? Is there any point?
Parliament is full of clowns and become a laughing stock. We have our version of Donald trump here in the UK now.
Waste of time and effort. The votes will get rigged and who invite for won’t make it. |

democracy died under Blair.A coachload of pensioners were turned around by police and escorted back under police patrol. They were going to London to protest against The Iraqi war(which Blair should now be in prison for..bombing innocent civilians is a war crime). democracy went out the window then |

I'm inclined to agree with you.
I think there's always been a feeling of "my vote won't count" when in reality it really could.
Recent events seem to prove that really, it won't.
I don't think I've ever seen politicians held in such low esteem in this country.
The harm they've done to this country and to future politics is immeasurable. |

the refurendem WAS a vote of complaint. What good did that do voting in a refurendem. And now the self admitted drug taker Cameron wants a second referendum... presumably till we vote the way they want. |

The country should abstain from voting, regardless of brexit the commons is now a place for just over 600 people to do as they please under the guise of its for the people.
The country is dying and key issues are being ignored because no MP has faced what their constituents face every day, or struggled financially, been worried about crime, the lack of treatment for health issues.
In reality all people vote for is an idea that doesnt exist. My home town is labour and has been for generations so much so theyd vote a pig in if they wore a red rosette, people dont vote on issues or policies they vote on an idea that died decades ago. |

No, I no longer have any trust in politicians, or trust in the political system.
If they were to put an option for 'none of the above' on a ballot paper then I'd vote that.
These people supposedly represent our interests in this country, but all they do is squabble and scheme behind each other's backs, lie to the public, lie to other people with power, and make an embarrassing show of themselves on TV. |

"I'd rather live in a society that allows everyone over the age of majority to vote than one that doesn't. I don't think people realise how precious being enfranchised is. "
I agree. Voting is a privilege many people throughout the world don't have.
Such a shame those who receive our votes don't realise the worth of our privilege.

Those people not voting, please remember. Nobody cares. However if you spoil your vote it will be counted. If let's say 30% of people went to vote, but spoilt their vote, things could start to change, questions would be asked. But if you don't vote, nothing will change I'm afraid. Nobody will care. |

Agreed.
I actually am all for manditory voting, but with a clear option at the top stating "No parties reflect my views in their manifesto".
As you said, even 10% of undeclared votes is going to make politicians pause. |

30% ish of the entire UK population didn't vote in the last general election. That didn't make them pause.

Yeah and that's very democratic is int it.. I have always voted but now I won't, I am not complain merely saying why I won't as I see no point as there is not ine party that i agree with at present. Voting should be about who you want to run your country there is no ine eligible as far as I can see. |

That’s not causative. The rise of populism and right wing are based on other factors. Donald Trump hasn’t helped. |

Which Conservative are you voting for, though? By the time the election is called we may well have the Rebel Alliance Conservative Party, the Traditional Conservative and Unionist Party Party and the current lot, the Brexit Party Conservative Party.
