Do you have pearls of wisdom to pass on to those who need it?

Can you listen and take it if advice is given or do you go boldy go where fools fear to tread?

I prefer giving information and support if someone asks. Advice not so much. And dont like it from others too.

I'm the one most of my friends come to for advice. I'm a good listener and I'm quite fair and rational, I tell them what I think honestly rather than what they want to hear.

I'm really bad at asking for or accepting advice though, I tend to keep things to myself and over think them instead.

There and to the left a bit

I like to think I'm fairly good at offering reasoned opinion and advice to others when it's asked for.

Not so good at listening to my own advice myself though

I can take advice if I believe what I'm being told.

I also ask for and welcome it at times.

I’m a good listener. But i’m very feisty so i tend to give reactionary advice, rather than sensible advice.

I don’t take advice that well, i don’t like being told what to do and a lot of folk ram their advice down your throat and get shitty if you don’t take it, and i prefer to go for making my mistakes and learning from them.

I'm not great at taking advice and tend to do my own thing regardless.

Old man.. Don't climb that tree son, the branches are brittle as it's diseased

Me as a 10 yo.. Yeah right, you're just old and grumpy because you can't climb trees

Crash, snap, crash, snap, tumble, phew this branch has held me... Snap arrrrrrrrgh total darkness,

Wake up in hospital with a pretty nurse leaning over me and her breasts touching me.

Mum.. You silly boy you'll kill yourself but I hope you learnt a lesson

10 yo me.. Those breasts mmmm, now where's a taller tree

I am a very wisdomy person. I have a wealth of helpful advice and hints to get through this modern world we live in. Granted Auntie P is more experienced but I use lay mans or women’s terms

that's the great thing about being open, receptive to advice you can take it from anywhere it feels right.

You give good advice.

I'm crap at advice. When my friends have issues I put a thread on here and Ask The Forum. Forumites give a wide range of opinions and I find that helps.

You got to love the advice from our fellow forumites. At the very least they make me smile and that's always a good thing.

Bullshit! You give good advice, you just don't even realise you're doing it.

On a mooch

At work, from friends and younger generation family they seek my support and advice and its got me the nickname Mama B. They know I’ll listen, won’t judge and will get brutal honesty if needed. I don’t fluffy up my words.

Personally I’m crap at taking advice, I will listen and take it all in, other times I will dismiss it. Ultimately though, I’m a stubborn, independent mare and will chew things over until I figure out the best course in my head and stick to it.

Is it always the right choice I make, Hell no that’s how you learn, but you can’t say going the other way would have been any different.

Deal with what life throws at you one day at a time and go from there.

I can see why they come to you. I've followed the one day at a time method at some difficult times in my life...sometimes it's all you can do and it works.

I'm not sure about wisdom but I'm happy to chat about your issues if it helps you. No one ever offers me advice and I tend towards recklessness when it comes to matters of self..

I have in the past been known to be reckless on occasion...now I give myself a good talking to. I resist the urge to be as impulsive I could be.
