I think it all depends on the dynamic.
I've been called everything from whore to baby and most things inbetween. My favourite was always Princess, it can be used in so so many ways depending on the inflection and context, it can be preceded or appended with other words like slut or whore. It can be used with tenderness post scene... It also works when you're a switch and in a hierarchical arrangement with your Master/Dom above you and one or several someone's below you. |

As said above very much a personal thing for you as a D/s couple to decide on I’ve known subs and slaves that wouldn’t consent to be called for example cunt where others are quite happy with that particular epithet being used.
The key word being consent as you discuss boundaries and hard/soft limits |

This is pretty much the only answer you need OP - it's down to the individuals concerned and the dynamic they have - some submissives will object to derogatory terms others won't so discussion, communication and open honesty are all key and part of it. |

"Does it matter?because if he owns you then he will call you whatever he wishes to"
Just because someone is "owned" it doesn't *have* to mean they don't have a mind of their own and have preferences, limits and boundaries that are agreed as part of that "ownership" - contrary to common belief submissives do have a mind of their own, and often a very strong willed one at that, so as Lady Jayne said earlier it all comes down to the individual dynamic and what is agreed between both people involved in that dynamic.
As a submissive *IF* I were to enter into an "owned" situation (which personally I wouldn't do) anyone thinking they could call me what they want or do what they wanted with me without having first discussed it and got my consent to do so, would be in for something of a shock. |

"Surely that's your 'masters' choice to call you what he sees fit?
"
I disagree has be something you're happy with and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. Not a one sided relationship where Dom makes the decisions this includes what you answer to |

Yes I'm fully aware of that but usually a master will suggest the name and ask her if she's comfortable with that. Not the owned person asking what she should be called from a forum |

That's exactly it. Any dom / sub play I have enjoyed, I have always agreed with the person what is acceptable and what isn't from their point of view. |

Then don't go for one until something feels right and natural. I'm not owned but I am seeing someone exclusively. He calls me baby girl, this came naturally, he said he almost called me it but didn't want to put me off, I adore it. He doesn't feel comfortable with me calling him Sir or Daddy or any of those type of things so I have no name back. You don't have to have anything just because it's the norm. |
