So sat here thinking, how many artists have we forgot about from the 80’s?
To start off
King big hit with “love n pride “
The Gibson brothers “Cuba “
Temple Tudor “swords of a thousand men”
Nick kershaw “ the Riddle” and others
I even contemplated Billy Joel as he was massive in the 80’s but slightly forgotten now...
What’s your contribution to these |

"Soft cell.
Ultavox
Cabaret novoux "
Do you mean Classix Nouveaux? Still one of my favourite all-time bands. Anyone ever been to a Butlin's 80's weekend? Pretty much all the still-alive bands listed on this thread turn up at those. |

Tbf at 34 and 29 it would be tricky for you to think of obscure ones to say the least? Would be like asking me for obscure 70s artists... Whilst I'm aware of plenty of music that went on in the 70s due to my tastes broadening and paying attention, I hadn't yet turned 3 when 1980 dawned!

Kajagoogoo definitely. And their singer Limahl.
Phil Collins? Nah he's unretired and touring the world. Hardly forgotten.
The Buggles joined Yes again a few years ago. There may yet be another Buggles album, though.
Nobody remembers GTR any more
Didn't one of The Thompson Twins have a solo album last year?

A lot of the acts named here are still touring in some respect or another - keep an eye out for the 80s festivals and events that are a regular feature on the gig circuit.
More often than not they're just one member of the original line up keeping the name alive - saw Bad Manners the other week and it was just Buster Bloodvessel and a backing band (mind you he's the only one anyone that wasn't a fan back in the day would remember anyway) |
